Restoring habitat to support endangered caribou in our Peace Region

Habitat of the at-risk Klinse-Za caribou herd has been restored in the Mount Bickford area near Chetwynd, including the deactivation and reforestation of 2.3 kms of legacy industrial roads.

Over 12,000 seedlings have been planted in the caribou corridor in this three-year project led by the Nîkanêse Wah tzee Stewardship Society with funding from the FWCP.
