Glen Cartwright, Coastal Region board public representative

Long-time conservationist Glen Cartwright is the newest public representative on our Coastal Region board. Glen was raised just west of Williams Lake. Living on the land brought him closer to nature, allowing him to build his life around it. He spends much of his time in the bush, guiding, trapping, hunting, and fishing.

Glen has guided throughout British Columbia and still operates a trap line in the Boston Bar area. In the mid 1980s, Glen started a construction business that has allowed him to do what he really loves: enjoy the great outdoors!

Presently, Glen is involved as a life member or board member on numerous conservations organizations in the province, including B.C. Trappers Association, Wild Sheep Society of B.C., Guide Outfitters Association of B.C., H4 Hunt Gather Conserve Society, and Wild Sheep Foundation.

Glen and his wife Shawna with their three children live in South Langley on a small horse farm and enjoy spending as much time at their cabin as possible. Glen plans to bring his extensive knowledge of wildlife and their ecosystems to our Coastal Region board to help address the impacts of BC Hydro’s footprint on the environment.
