As a member of our board, you will review proposed fish and wildlife projects, and join other board members in guiding the work of the FWCP in our Coastal Region. The board’s primary responsibility is making the funding decisions and determining fish and wildlife priorities for the FWCP in our Coastal Region. In 2022 – 2023, the board has approved $2.2 million for fish and wildlife projects.
The nine-person board is made up of three public representatives, three First Nations, and one each from BC Hydro, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and the Province of B.C. The board works closely with our fish and wildlife technical committees to ensure projects we fund are in alignment with our action plans and reflect regional board priorities.
