Join our Coastal Region board

Coastal Region Board June 2022

Apply now: join our Coastal Region board

We’re looking for a new public member to join our Coastal Region board for a three-year term starting as early as April 1, 2024.

The nine-person board is made up of three public members, three First Nations members, and one each from BC Hydro, Fisheries and Oceans Canada, and the Province of B.C. The board works closely with our fish and wildlife technical committees to ensure projects we fund align with our action plans. In 2023-2024, the board approved $2.4 million in funding for 28 fish and wildlife projects.

We’re seeking a public board member who can bring a regional perspective to the table, represent a broad range of public interests, and make a three-year commitment. As a member of our board, you’ll review proposed fish and wildlife projects and join other board members in guiding the work of the FWCP in our Coastal Region. The board’s primary responsibility is making funding decisions and determining fish and wildlife priorities for the FWCP.

Read our governance manual to find out more about board members’ roles and responsibilities, and learn more about the FWCP in Our Story.
