Meadow Creek Spawning Channel Open House – Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017  

We’re co-hosting an open house at the Meadow Creek Spawning Channel. You’re invited.

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

View thousands of spawning kokanee, talk to biologists and learn more about our Kootenay Lake Nutrient Restoration Program. Learn about BearSmart and grizzlies too.

This free, family event is hosted by the FWCP and the Provincial Ministry of Forests Lands and Natural Resource Operations.

The Meadow Creek spawning channel is located 4 kms west of Meadow Creek at the north end of Kootenay Lake. Follow Highway 31 from Kaslo to Meadow Creek. Look for the open house signs.

Spawning channel is open to public

The spawning channel is open daily during spawning season from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please be aware that if there are too many bears in the area, the channel may be closed to the public at any time. For more information call 250-354-6333.
