Falls River Watershed Action Plan

What’s Next?

The public comment period for the Falls River Watershed Action Plan has ended. Thanks to everyone who reviewed the draft and provided comments. We are reviewing the input we received and are preparing a final Watershed Action Plan. It will be available in August 2017.

The final updated Watershed Action Plan defines our renewed conservation priorities and potential projects in this watershed for the next five years. If you’re applying for an FWCP grant, your grant application must align with our Watershed Action Plan.

Contact us if you have questions about our conservation priorities, potential projects, or your grant application.

About Our Watershed Action Plans

We want our Watershed Action Plans to reflect local conservation priorities and potential projects. Our Watershed Action Plans include many good ideas we heard during our discussions and watershed workshop.

We fund projects that align with our mission, which is to conserve and enhance fish and wildlife impacted by construction of BC Hydro dams in watersheds where BC Hydro operates. This means that some conservation and enhancement ideas we heard, were beyond our scope, and may not be included in our Watershed Action Plans.

Please see fwcp.ca/apply-for-funding/ for more information on project eligibility. Learn more about our mission, vision and strategic objectives at fwcp.ca/our-story.
